Snow!!! Part 1

I know the title is not related to current season, but just want to share my story with you.

On February, after coming back to Japan, I went to Hokkaido (North part of Japan) with my friend who went to Community College together in U.S.

I have never been to Hokkaido in winter time...it was so cold which I was not expected...
It was snowing A LOT!!!. I was really surprised at the weather in Hokkaido.

You will be surprised at how much snow was there... even though we stayed one night, I felt that I saw enough snow only one day.

I will write about this trip part 1 and 2 because there are many pictures...

Sapporo Clock Tower (Sapporo Tokeidai) is a wooden structure
and well-known local tourist attraction.

A Big Snow Man!!! We Love Hokkaido!!!

Following three pictures were inside of Hokkaido University.
In the way to go to Hokkaido University from Sapporo Station, it was blizzard...

Sapporo Beer Museum. Origin of Sapporo Beer Factory was in this museum.
Beer I tasted was only served in Hokkaido. It was great taste. I love BEER.
Would you like to try some Sapporo Beer with me???

I took this picture from inside of museum. Blizzard was getting worse and worse...
Can you see how much it was snowing?

I will write about second day in Hokkaido soon. It will be SNOW Part 2!!!
I recommend to go to Hokkaido in winter time even though it is so cold. I think you may like its weather. It was snow paradise!!! I love snow!!!, but too cold...

Today's Blog...

I decide to write about today...what I did.

On May 4th, I woke up at around 10 am. I know it was kind late morning... could not wake up, but it was still holiday. So it was ok.

I already decided to do in the morning since last night. That was to go to driving range. I did not practice golf for a long time, so really wanted to go today. I also asked my Dad to go there with me, so asked him again today before leaving my house. He said Yes, so we went there together. It was my first time to play golf with my Dad. It was really strange feeling, but it was fun!!!

Then, I also had a plan for today's afternoon. That was to go to movie with my parent. My Mom and I wanted to go to movie, Alice in Wonderland. So, I already bought tickets day before. You know what my mom and I love this movie. It was really interesting movie in good way. Actually, this is one of mother's day gift to my mom. Mother's day is coming soon, and I was thinking what I should do... And, she told me that she wanted to watch "Alice in Wonderland", so I decided to take her there. For my dad... I was not sure he liked it or not, but said he enjoyed. So, it was ok, right?????????

Then, we came back to home. I needed to go one thing which my brother asked me to do it. It was to take picture of Abalone which my brother caught last night. It was so big!!! So, I took some picture of Abalone and sent the pictures to him. I also decided to cook a dinner for my parent because my mom asked me to cook. I cooked Abalone with Red wine, Say Source, salt& pepper, and butter. It was really good. Thank you, my brother. Also cooked Curry with rice. I made it little bit spicier than normal because my dad loves spicy food. My parent said they liked it. My mom also made salad.

Today was like a family time. It was little interesting day because I usually do not spend too much time with my parent. Specially, going to golf with my dad was my first experience. It was great to spend time with my parent. Maybe... I should spend more time with my parent.

You know what... I may go to golf with my dad again tomorrow. Ahah... it is interesting.

How was your day???

This is an Abalone which my brother caught.

Can you believe this size of Abalone?
You can compare with pink lighter...what do you think?

I made Sauteed Abalone.

Sanuki Udon

Do you know Sanuki Udon (Udon Noodle)? It is Udon, but Sanuki Udon is speciality Udon in Kagawa Prefecture.

I love Udon noodle, so went to Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture to eat delicious Sanuki Udon!!! There are many Sanuki Udon restaurant in Tokyo, but I have never eaten best Sanuki Udon yet. So I decided to go there and eat special Sanuki Udon in Special place.

When I went there, there were too many Sanuki Udon restaurants in Marugame. I could not decide where I should go, so first, I asked to Hotel staff about where is famous Udon place in Marugame. It was night time, so they just gave me one name and I went there.

First place, I liked it, but not satisfied yet...needed to try at the different places.

Next morning, I got on the taxi, and asked taxi driver that please take me best Udon restaurant which local people go. It was around 9 am. Driver took me inside of Farmers Market. There was tiny and small Udon restaurant. It was really interesting because they gave me simple udon in the bowel and no soup inside. I had no idea that how I could eat and lady who worked in the restaurant told me how to eat. It was sooooo delicious!!! I loved taste of soup. The soup and Udon made me satisfied. I thought I found my best Sanuki Udon in Marugame. This restaurant was only local people coming, and no tourist.

Then, taxi driver took me one more place close to Farmers market. I tried cold Sanuki Udon, but I knew it that my best Sanuki Udon was the restaurant inside of Farmers Market.

There are many Udon restaurant, and I just tried only 3 of them. I think there are more delicious Udon restaurant in Kagawa Prefecture, but during my Udon trip, I found one of my favorite Sanuki Udon restaurant in Marugame. So, my Udon trip' mission was completed.

If I have chance, I would like to try Udon trip in Kagawa again.

First Udon Restaurant which I tried

My favorite Udon Restaurant inside of Farmers Market

Third Udon Restaurant. It was good. Better than first one.

Would you like to eat Udon???
