FireWorks!!!

Hello. I am so sorry...I did not post new story for a long time... I know I should post new story more often...So Sorry.

Today, I would like to share story about Summer Events!!! There are many events for summer in Japan. Most famous event is Fireworks. I remember that when I was in U.S., I went to see fireworks on July 4th. In Japan, we can do fireworks anytime you want. In only summer time, there are big Fireworks festivals.

Last Sat, I went to one of big Fireworks close to my parent house. It is called Edogawa Fireworks Festival. There are TOO many people ...OMG it made me sick because of population who came to the Fireworks... I had no idea that how many people were there, but TOO many.

It started from 0715pm and ended at 0830pm. I was there little late because I met with my friends around 0710pm, and we needed to walk to place we could see the Fireworks. It was no way to use transportation because of too crowded, so my friends and I walked to the place for the Fireworks. Fortunately, my brother's friends already reserved the some places which we could see the Fireworks in just front. It was quite far from station, but it was worth it.

OMG!!! We were in front of FireWorks. The sound of Fireworks was so loud, and it got on my inside. I could feel sound of Fireworks, and that remained me of YES, I was sitting in Just front of Fireworks. Just imagine that you are sitting right in front of the huge IMAX screen and watching 3D action movie...... I am not sure this is good example or not, but like that...

There were huge and beautiful Fireworks right in front of my face...It was so pretty!!!

I was enjoying the Fireworks festival. However, after finishing the Firework, we needed to go back to Station again...Most of people who saw the Fireworks went to same way, so when we got to station, It was packed with bunch of people... OMG.

Well, it made me so tired, but it was worth it!!! I love Fireworks!!!

Tanabata

Today, 7/7 is Japanese Start Festival!, and also related to Chinese star festival.

It celebrates the meeting of Orihime (Vega) and Hikoboshi (Altair). According to legend, the Milky Way, a river made from stars that crosses the sky, separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar.

In present-day Japan, people generally celebrate this day by writing wishes, sometimes in the form of poetry, on tanzaku (短冊 tanzaku), small pieces of paper, and hanging them on bamboo, sometimes with other decorations. The bamboo and decorations are often set afloat on a river or burned after the festival, around midnight or on the next day. This resembles the custom of floating paper ships and candles on rivers during Obon. Many areas in Japan have their own Tanabata customs, which are mostly related to local Obon traditions. (from wikipedia)

I did not have chance to write my wish on Tanzaku in this year... I am wishing into my heart...instead of writing.

What will you wish for Star Festival?

I just pick one picture from last summer that I was wearing Yukata, which is summer Kimono. Star Festival is like summer festival, so I just pick summer image picture.

Thank you!!!
