Cooking with My Mom

Yesterday, after my mom and I made Chiffon Cake, we cooked dinner together. I did most of the part because she cooked for me all the time, so I decided to cook for dinner.

Well, I think I am kinds of lazy now because I do not cook anymore... you know why???
Because my mom's cooking is best for me...better than cooking by myself. So, I do not cook not too often anymore. If I eat meals which she cooks, I do not need to cook, but she needs some days not to cook. So I decide to cook for her sometimes...

Yesterday, I decided to help her for cooking dinner. She said that she wanted to make soup, so I made soup with Chicken and Tomatoes. I put Chicken Wings, cut Tomatoes, salt, pepper, and Consomme Bouillon. It was single taste, but it was good...I think.

I also cooked Daikon Tuna salad which you already you know. I posted this dish several time... have never cooked for her, so I decided to make Daikon Tuna Salad. Mom likes it, so it's good.

Also my mom cooked vinegared cucumber, crab meat, and seaweed dish. It is kind of hard to explain, but it is mixed up with vinegar, sugar, cut cucumber, crab meat, and seaweed. This is one of my favorite. It was so good. I need to learn from her how to make this.

I know myself that love to cook, but I need to eat dishes which my mom makes because all dishes are so delicious. I know that I should cook more and learn many dishes from her.

Look forward to cook with my mom in the weekend.

Chiffon Cake

Today, my mom and I made Chiffon Cake as I told you. We made English Tea Chiffon Cake!!!

I thought it is little difficult to make, but it was so easy!!! I was surprised at making Chiffon cake.
As you know, my mom learned recipe from her cooking school, so my mom and I decided to make it together. It was fun because I did not make cake with my mom for a long time...

I remember that when I was elementary school, my mom made the cake for my Birthday every year. It was soooooooo delicious. We sometimes made cakes or cookies together when I was child. So, it was really great time to make the cake together.

We will try to make it again with different flavor.

Thank you, mom. It was really fun time!!!

Korean Food

I am very busy for work now...I am so sorry that I cannot post my blog everyday now... I will try to post new story everyday...Hope soooooooo.

Anyway, today I went to Korean restaurant in Tokyo. One of place in Tokyo is really famous for Korean town. I have never been there before, and it was my first time to go to Korean town in Tokyo. There are many Korean restaurants and stores. It was really interesting. Recently, Japanese people love Korean TV dramas, music, singers, and actresses & actors. So, now Korean town in Tokyo is really popular place to go. I have known the name of town, but I never had a chance to go to Korean town...

Today, my friend asked me to go to dinner in Korean town. After finishing my work today, I met with my friend to eat Korean food. She went there many times, so she told me where I should go. She said there were many restaurants, and if we want to go to popular restaurant, we have to wait...so, today we decided to try one restaurant which she has been there before.

We ordered our favorite Korean dish, it is called Gamjatang.

Gamjatang or pork bone soup is a spicy Korean soup made with pork spine, vegetables, green onions, hot peppers and ground wild sesame seeds.

Gamjatang is one of my favorite Korean food. So we decided to try it. It was good, but I like one I had before in Korea.
I do not know why, but I love spicy food. Specially Korean food is my favorite. I think because of my dad... My dad loves Korean food, so he made Kimchi by himself. I was eating Kimchi when I was little child, so that is why I love Korean food.

I will try to go back there to find more delicious Korean food restaurant.

She said some school has special lesson for cooking, and decides to go there. It was first lesson on last Sat. She said lesson is once a month, so it is easy for her to go to cooking lesson.

First cooking lesson; Chiffon Cake

She said it was fun to make Chiffon Cake. There is no butter to use. So it is healthy cake!!!
Her lesson is morning time, so I was waiting her cake for lunch.

The cake she made looked so good. Taste was....................GOOD!!!

Akashiyaki(明石焼)

Hi. I would like to share one of my favorite food. It is Akishiyaki. This is similar to Takoyaki(たこ焼き). Do you know Takoyaki? It is really famous food in Osaka, Japan. I like Takoyaki, but I really like Akashiyaki because of the broth and taste.
"Akashiyaki is a small round dumpling from the city of Akashi in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Made of an egg-rich batter and octopus dipped into dashi (a thin fish broth) before eating, locals in the Akashi area refer to it simply as tamagoyaki."(Wikipedia)

I do not know why, but like Akashiyaki better than Yakoyaki...because I feel that Akishiyaki is light snack.

When I went to Kobe in Japan, I had great Akashiyaki there. I love it!!!

I recommend that you should try this food!!!
